I hope there will be an episode two. No bugs or glitches occurred during my gameplay. It's definitely worth the money. Played it with my xbox one controller cuz the mouse control is weird. Game feels like a mix of Bioshock+Amnesia, where you only have your telekinesis ability.. I guess it was ok?? The graphics were nice and the atmosphere was well done, but other than that, this game really didnt do it for me. a lot of wandering around with not much going on.. I am most of the way through Lethe, and I have to say, as much as it is trying to be what Amnesia was, it DOES do a decent job. The only thing I'd have to comment on is the pacing of the game, as I notice that a lot of the game is mostly platforming and puzzles and not enough monster encounters.The atmosphere is definitely familiar with vibes of Amnesia mixed with "My Bloody Valentine" (the movie) with the setting. Be prepared for reading as THAT is how most if not all the exposition is delivered to you, through notes and documents.I have been streaming this game for my livestream via Youtube Gaming, and to sum it all up. There are so many poorly done horror games nowadays that it becomes a chore sifting through everything. Episode 1 of Lethe was overall a breath of fresh air. The atmosphere, visuals, and audio are high quality - all together they provide a very immersive experience reminiscent of Amnesia: the Dark Descent, SOMA, Among the Sleep, Penumbra, and other titles in that arena. If you're searching for that kind of horror experience, this may be a good fit for you. In terms of puzzles, they are straightforward and common sense for the most part. It's just a matter of paying attention to your surroundings and the understanding how you can interact with objects nearby.I did have one issue that I was not a fan of. The game's save feature is kind of a chore. You can manual save at these radios but once you begin progressing and end up dying, you will have to restart at the radio checkpoint. That's normal and well, however, certain segments of the game can feel tedious due to having to repeat parts over and over. Otherwise this is a very well made game. I highly recommend it.. Ill add to this as i play more..The game has a great visual style that also runs very well. No issue hitting 60 fps with 4xmsaa at 1080p max settings on a 290x. I could probably go higher but i play on a 70inch 1080p tv and jaggies arent an issue so i have no need to try.The story has started to suck me in despite being told in written note form and the game has that just 5 more min vibe going for it.There are some issues playing with a controller along with some physics bugs and oddities. Try walking into a chair! The problems come when you get stuck on inch high objects or during platforming sections you might clip into something and then popout of the object and be pushed to your death.The audio also does a really great job of setting the tone. Cant wait to play more but that could always change as i get further into the game. Don't see much action, don't see much horror. The atmosphere is good, but the game basically base on puzzle, puzzle, puzzle. when people buy this game. Tney definitely want to enjoy the horro or atleast action with the game. I played this game for more than 2 hours, an only 3 times i met the monster. All of the time I have to solve puzzle with red stupid locking door. It's so annoying and must say that I do not enjoy the game anymore. I don't really care if you think the game is good. This is just my honest review, I feel bad when people want to try the game and bought it like me, play over 2 hours and can't refund this game.. I would not say this game is bad.I would not say this game is good either. The problem is halfway between. Where environmental horrors have been nearly perfected by Frictional and a few other indies (Scratches, Layers of Fear) this one falls flat. The inspirations are apparent since you make your way deeper through an abandoned mine and brave fears that patrol hallways but the problems come from a focus on imitation over inspiration.Without a concept of WHY these games work, Lethe attempts to recreate the terror and atmosphere of its more successful cousins and misses the mark. Key problems include dodgy AI, repetetive environments, unreliable lighting physics, and a disjointed (almost nonexistant) story. Rather than attempting to meet the bare minimum for a scary walking simulator, this game is satisfied with kinda sorta getting it. It could have been good with proper care and time but the result feels like a knockoff instead of a fleshed out experience.. Got the game on a steam sale for around 9 bucks. Not bad. Pretty much beat the thing in 4 hours. I do like the whole telekenesis ability, but honestly the game feels more like a platformer and puzzle game more than horror. There is one jump scare early on and then the rest is just hiding. I love the horror genre, but honestly I didn't feel that constant level of hyper awareness and edginess that I've gotten from games like dead space or Alien: Isolation.. Great gameplay as it reminds me of amnesia the dark descent, the story is a dark yet satisfying mystery that will leave you wanting to know more, can be scary at first but you will brave through it, so in my opinion, I think this is a great game to play if you like horror.
